Memo 001 - April 9, 2026 - Baylor, New Mexico

Being out here more, I’m realizing how many small things I miss if I don’t slow down.

Today it was lizards in the sun, a dragonfly passing through, and then suddenly a surge of flies that changed how we had to live for a few hours.

I still don’t really understand what’s around me yet.

Not just identifying things, but noticing them.

That’s what this is—just trying to notice things so I don’t miss what’s right in front of me.
